Bill Drummond

Posted by
Mark McNulty (Liverpool, United Kingdom) on 4 March 2009 in Art & Design.

This is artist, and former member of The KLF, Bill Drummond working in a temporary gallery on Parr Street during the first Liverpool Biennial in 1998. The finished work was a record cabinet to hold the records of the late Roger Eagle who had been the dj behind Liverpool's legendary nightclub Eric's, as well as a whole host of other musical achievements. From what I remember, Bill Drummond worked in the gallery for a few weeks before having a Saturday afternoon launch which featured an Absinthe session and a playing of Moonlight Bay by The Champs.

Love the simplicity of that shot--guy looks totally at ease with himself. Inspiring.
