051 Club, Liverpool.

Mark McNulty (Liverpool, United Kingdom) on 7 March 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

If taking photographs isn't difficult enough in nightclubs in the first place, just try using a large twin lens camera (Mamiya C330), shooting on film and doing double exposures with flash! This was taken in the 051 (which never did change it's name to the 0151) in the early 90's. This photo is ne of the images from my book Pop Cultured which can me purchased via the shop at www.mcnulty.co.uk

If you are interested in purchasing any of these images then please email me whether it regards commercial licensing or personal prints. I also have an online shop which is part of my main portfolio site at www.mcnulty.co.uk

I agree - the guy on the right has probably only just started to come down now. I went to Cream quite a few times in the 90s but never the 051, sadly. The sense of hedonism is obviously very strong here but I especially like the ghostly effect
